The "slurp mug" preserves the unique, ancient techniques of the Greek ceramic tradition while it enhances the aesthetics and the functionality of the classical ceramic cup. The "slurp mug" is made of clay (stoneware) molded into a suitable cast.
Clay is our natural choice of material because of its sustainability and its smaller environmental impact. The process of molding this cup with the exceptional integrated handle is manual and time - consuming and offers tenacious, cohesive ceramic object without attached parts. Achieving the suitable ceramic wall thickness in order to avoid deformations during the finishing and firing process was our biggest challenge.
